Christie Brinkley and Rose McGowan Couldn't Walk In Their Heels at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Show

Year after year, the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection show uses models who, while major celebrities, are almost all rookie catwalkers.

Last night's roster included Minka Kelly, La La Anthony, Aisha Tyler and Chaka Khan—and for most of them, strutting the runway was trial by fire. Those red gowns (courtesy of major designers like Jason Wu, Diane von Furstenberg and Marchesa) have floor-length hems or longer; paired with towering high heels, the ensemble's really, really tricky to walk in. So it's pretty understandable that an inevitable trip or two happens each year.

But last night's stumblers surprised us a bit: while the older women (like Khan, pictured spreading out her dress like wings at left) had no problem negotiating their heels and gowns, Rose McGowan had barely walked 10 feet before her gait got the best of her. And Christie Brinkley—one of the show's only professional models, along with Rebecca Romijn—took a little half-tumble, too, perhaps proving swimsuit modeling really does use a different skill set than dress modeling.

Both women composed themselves in pretty amazing ways, though. Rose adopted an exaggerated bravado, like a matador, snapping her fingers in the air and thrusting her chin to the ceiling. And Christie? She couldn't help but laugh. Click through below for their reactions. Aside from the dresses themselves (and the awareness they raise for heart disease prevention), they were our favorite part of the show.
