London Fashion Week Fall 2012: Five More Collections We Loved

This designer has gained a cult following, thanks to her mesmerizing digital prints, bold color choices and sculptural cuts—all three of which played key roles in her fall collection. To change things up a bit, there were also a few floor-sweeping gowns and some intricately ruffled chiffon cocktail dresses. We only wish we could afford these gorgeous creations—but we're saving up for her Topshop collab, of course!

For McQ's first-ever runway presentation, creative director Sarah Burton scattered the catwalk with autumn leaves and sent out a lineup of military-minded outerwear in equally fall-appropriate shades of olive and camel. The floral tulle dresses were even more stunning, however—as was the wedding-worthy finale number modeled by the inimitable Kristen McMenamy.

Alistair Carr's collection for Pringle this season was a smart mix of minimalist, punky and preppy. We especially loved the car coats with contrasting collars and slit-front skirts. We can always look to Pringle for great knits, too, and fall's zigzag-printed and ruffled versions didn't disappoint.

Berardi showed beautiful pleated skirts and dresses in shades of pale pink, deep grey, red and turquoise for fall. Embellished peplum-waisted cocktail dresses were highlights, as were a section of looks done in minimalist black and white. And thanks to those curved seams, these looks were all incredibly figure-flattering.

Burberry's Christopher Bailey is the king of classic outerwear, and this season's tweed trenches, cropped puffers and peplumed military jackets were inspired by town and field attire. Owls made a cute cameo on knits and tees, and pencil skirts got fancied up with asymmetrical ruffles. In fact, the entire collection seemed intent on maximizing the ratio between waist (which got cinched with a velvet bow-tied belt) and hip (exaggerated via oversized pockets on blazers and coats). Hurray for curves!
