You forgot your bottle of Chanel Chance—or left it out because you’re so savvy you only do carry-on (I have yet to master this art…too many necessary, liquid-filled beauty products). If you’re staying at a handful of Rosewood Hotels (including the super-glamorous, classic Carlyle in Manhattan), someone called a fragrance BUTLER will come to your door and offer you a selection of hand-picked perfumes to borrow. I’m not making this up! What’s more, they will come to your door with the bottles on a silver tray, wearing white gloves—reinforcing every childhood notion I had of a butler (one can only hope they all have British accents and go by Jeeves)—and the service is available 24 hours. If it’s 2am, 4am, or noon, for whatever strange reason you might need a spritz of perfume at that moment, you will have it. Below, the available perfumes at some of the locations. I’m most impressed by the varied selection at Sand Hill, but—no surprise—my favorites are right here in New York.
