Rachel Roy Fall 2012: Vibrant Thing

The Scene: For Roy's "modern landscape" inspired collection, models stood on slate platforms bordered in grass. Meanwhile, the line to see them nearly wrapped around Lincoln Center, and included some high-profile people like Brad Goreski and Coco Rocha.
The Look: Colored fur and tights; wide-brimmed hats and full skirts that had a relaxed, western feel despite their saturated colors.
Pieces We Want: Any of the vibrant coats, like the yellow and green plaid or the pink and orange fur styles. (After a week of fashion show hopping, it's thuddingly obvious: colorful outwear's the easiest way to stand out in the dead of winter.) Oh, and the shoes—Roy's first foray into high-end footwear—especially the emerald green oxford booties.
