She might make a living out of critiquing other peoples outfits, but television personality Joan Rivers admits that she doesn't take fashion too seriously.
"What's the worst that's going to happen," she recently said while giving a tour of her closet to TimeOut New York. "You're going to go out somewhere and you're going to put something on and you're going to look like an idiot? So what? You can take it off. It doesn't matter."
While sifting through her extensive wardrobe, Joan also revealed her biggest style secret: "Wear as simple, as basic as you can—which for usually is for me, a black top, black pants—and then you accessorize with jackets and with sweaters. So the color comes, always, in what I put on top of my black."
