The Sex and the City Prequel is Happening

According to the Telegraph, AnnaSophia Robb will star as Carrie in the upcoming Sex and the City prequel. No word yet on who will play Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte in the CW series—but truthfully, we're more curious about the clothes.

Even without the original show's costume designer, Patricia Field, and the ridiculously over-the-top but awesome outfits she styled, we're sure the wardrobes will be amazing.  Fashion takes a leading role in so many CW series already (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars), but more than that, the prequel's set in the 1980s. In New York City. They'd be nuts not to take advantage of all the ways to work shoulder pads, leggings, neon clothes and chunky bangles into the characters' brunch outfits. (And we'd be nuts not to watch.)
