Zac Posen Fall 2012: Obi Belts, Tapestry Prints and Major Gowns

The Scene: The marble hall of Lincoln Center's David Koch theater, which made a grand stage for Posen's high drama collection.

The Soundtrack: An orchestra cover of Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" that drilled the ultra-catchy track even further into my brain, if possible. (And had me humming violin noises, which was cool and not annoying.)

The Look: The Asian influence wasn't subtle: there were oversized obi belts, tapestry prints and jeweled clutches shaped like Japanese pagodas. Each was finished with a severe top knot updo and Geisha-like makeup.

Pieces We Want: We'd take the gown Coco Rocha wore in the finale. Or the jade green dress with a fishtail hem and nipped waist. It smacked of Posen's sexy, '40s glamour, but lacked the costumey Asian element.
