Gretchen Jones Fall 2012: Pastel Ikat Prints and Basket-Woven Accents

Courtesy of Gretchen Jones
The Scene: Smoky and dimly lit, with gold-painted rocks forming a tribal-style centerpiece in the middle of Chelsea's Root Drive-In venue.
The Soundtrack: Gang Gang Dance's Brian Degraw played DJ for the occasion.
The Look: Inspired by her own Southwestern roots and a longstanding love of the '70s, Gretchen incorporated beautiful pastel-toned ikat prints, basket-woven knits and her signature chevron motif into the textural collection. Models also wore beautiful turquoise jewelry—antique Native American pieces—that perfectly complemented the Project Runway winner's designs.
Pieces We Want: We flipped for the digital-print cocoon coat at left, and there was a tie-neck top and olive floral skirt combo we wanted to immediately snatch off the model and wear back to the office.
