Jason Wu for Target Launched Today—And is Basically Sold Out Already
It may be Super Bowl Sunday, but in the fashion world, the official launch of Jason Wu's capsule collection for Target takes precedence over football. After months of anticipation, the entire collection finally hit Target's website at midnight last night, though no official announcement of the line's availability was made at the time.
Many of this editor's friends had hoped to shop Wu's collab online first thing this morning, planning to wake up at around 8 or 9 am EST (admittedly early for a Sunday!) to do so. Unfortunately, by that point the vast majority of sizes and styles had been snatched up. Save for some navy shorts in sizes 14 and 16 and some XL tie-neck tees, it seems the entire collection's been cleaned out.
On the bright side, only online-exclusive pieces are actually listed as being "sold out." For those being stocked in brick-and-mortar Target locations as well as online, there's a handy search tool that allows you to check whether the item you want can be found at a local store. Don't get your hopes up for that, though—from what we've heard, 8 a.m. shoppers cleaned out the Jason Wu stock at the Targets in most major metropolitan areas.
