Timo Weiland Fall 2012: Paging Angela Chase

Fairchild Archive
The Scene: This season, Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein drew inspiration from the post-punk era and New York in the '90s.
The Look: Grungy-glam, with floor-sweeping floral chiffon dresses topped with leather moto jackets and velvet gowns paired with varsity-style fur-collared cardigans. The plaid looks, including a cropped crewneck knit and an asymmetrically-wrapped skirt, were wonderful—as was a pink-and-gray floral print seemingly stolen straight from Grandma's couch (in a good way). There was plenty of luxe fur trim, which added a more upscale feel to the '90s-era fare, and it seemed fitting that the designers booked pink-haired model Charlotte Free to open the show.
Pieces We Want: A cream military coat with fur cuffs stood out for us, as did a wear-anywhere gray floral sweater and the aforementioned plaid skirt.
