Watch Right Now: Sofia Coppola's Breathtaking Marni for H&M Video
It's here, it's finally here! After a dramatically piecemeal campaign reveal that began with a solitary print ad and the promise of director Sofia Coppola's involvement, Fashionista's just gotten ahold of the highly anticipated Marrakech-shot Marni for H&M video. And from the luxe villa backdrop to the Bryan Ferry soundtrack to, of course, the Marni for H&M wardrobe, it's every bit as lovely to look at as Coppola's full-length features like Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette.
The director's always been skilled at creating moody and beautiful party sequences, and this ad spot takes full advantage of this, with Marni for H&M face Imogen Poots lounging alongside models Liu Wen and Annabelle Dexter-Jones at a fancy-looking fĂȘte. To paraphrase 30 Rock's Liz Lemon, we most certainly want to go to there.
We're also already drafting our personal wish list of pieces from the upcoming collab, which hits H&M stores on March 8. Liu Wen's blue patterned jacket, Poots' kaleidoscopic-print skirt, and every single piece of costume jewelry shown make the cut. As does that sublime-looking swimsuit.
Check out both the ad and the behind-the-scenes footage below, and let us know what you think!
