Jessica Seinfeld: Queen of Hamptons High-Low Dressing
About Jessica Seinfeld, we know this: she likes to cook (see: Doitdelicious.com), she has a really good bob (see: multiple party photos), and she's the founder of an amazing charity called Baby Buggy (which provides essential clothing, gear and services to families in need). Now, we can add "expert high-lo dresser" to that list.
Yesterday, at Bergdorf Goodman's brand new Burberry women's store—where she hosted a Baby Buggy fundraiser alongside Lucky's editor-in-chief, Brandon Holley—the mother of three revealed her go-to summer essentials. "I’m not buying a lot of clothes these days," she said. "I’m really trying to use what's in my closet and update it with great accessories, like this Burberry clutch. Oh, and I love jewelry that you know not everyone is wearing. I like when it's less expensive, but more original and unique." (She's a huge fan of accessories designer Eddie Borgo.)
While she might love a Burberry trench (and shoes, and bag—see awesome outfit at left), she also likes to throw on casual accessories. "Madewell makes great scarves," she said. "But I just pick scarves up wherever. I feel like you end up finding much more interesting things when you're traveling."
The morning shopping spree was certainly for a good cause—a portion of the store sales benefited Baby Buggy—but we also learned that Hamptons moms like a bargain or two. Refreshing, to say the least.
