Saturdays Surf Is Expanding to Asia

Until now, only New York residents and visitors have been able to enjoy the steaming coffee, boarding gear and super-cute guys at Saturdays Surf's cool Crosby Street boutique. But all that is about to change. The company is opening a Tokyo outpost tomorrow, a pop-up in Hong Kong's Lane Crawford next month and a second Manhattan location this spring.

The store, which specializes in surf gear and apparel but also offers an in-house menswear label, jewelry and other accessories, first opened in SoHo August 2009. According to owners Josh Rosen, Morgan Collett and Colin Tunstall, the Tokyo location in Daikanyama will be modeled after the successful flagship, with both an espresso bar and relaxed backyard area reminiscent of the Crosby Street shop's outdoor patio. And continuing Saturdays' eastward expansion, Lane Crawford will host a pop-up offering the brand's outdoorsy goods from April 15 through May 15.

Really, though, it's Saturdays' forthcoming West Village location at the corner of Waverly Place and Perry Street we're really psyched about. To get you in the wave-riding mood, too, check out some of the unisex offerings on the company's e-commerce site.

Saturdays's logo tees have become a style fixture in NYC—this is currently our favorite iteration.
