Jack Wills Summer 2012: Cool Britannia Goes Posh Preppy

The East Side residence (i.e., fancy penthouse) of the British Consul-General was completely taken over by a bunch of hot young things in prepped-out gear Wednesday morning.

The momentous occasion? A summer and pre-fall preview for UK import Jack Wills.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, it's kind of an Anglophile Abercrombie & Fitch. (Oh, and a couple members of Brit/Irish boyband One Direction wore some Jack Wills on their recent Saturday Night Live gig.) The label has strategically opened its eleven Stateside outposts in preppy East Coast towns easily accessible by college (oh, excuse me, university) students. Wisely so, as the label is famous for their raucous, alcohol infused in-store bashes. Um, can we get one in New York, please?

At least we had the preview, where beautiful, fresh-faced girls and boys lounged about in posh vignettes: an afternoon tea party card game atop a Union Jack tablecloth; a high brow backgammon challenge; a bunch of really good looking Oxford-types nonchalantly chilling while one gent casually toyed with a cricket bat.

Fashion highlights included a strapless eyelet white dress with a bold pink ribbon belt, a flirty floral romper layered under a light, fitted pinstriped blazer and loads of candy-colored denim.

The pieces are available in stores and online (free shipping!) now, so click through the slideshow below to start shopping some Jack Wills. Cheers!

Can we join in, too?
