You're Getting Warmer: This New NYC Boutique Has Us Pumped for Summer
On Wednesday night, we headed down to Nolita to celebrate the launch of new Hawaiian-themed shop Warm with champagne and shaved ice. The brainchild of travel-obsessed couple Winnie Beattie and Rob Magnotta, the boutique stocks texturally-rich, bohemian-glam looks from the likes of Vanessa Bruno, Tracy Feith and M.Patmos—just to name a few. We immediately made a beeline for the lacy separates by cool French brand Roseanna and the beautifully minimal Jutta Neumann leather sandals. The intimate store also has an adorable children's nook packed with similarly vacation-minded clothing in scaled-down sizes.
To hear Winnie herself tell it, the concept of Warm came to her incredibly organically. "I grew up in Hawaii, and met my husband surfing in Montauk," she told me. "So we're kind of beachy spirits. We spend our lives in pursuit of all things warm—things that keep you cozy at the beach, or after snowboarding."
There's even a cute garden right behind the shop, a prime place for friends to hang out and enjoy a drink after stocking up on coffee-table books and summertime essentials. As for the three items Winnie says no woman should be without when the weather warms? "Body oil for after you've been out in the sun, a great wrap or pareo and a surfboard."
