Carine Roitfeld Will Stage a Very Dark Fashion Show at the Cannes Film Festival

The amfAR Cinema Against Aids gala at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden Roc in Cap d'Antibes has long been known as the stylish highlight of the entire Cannes Film Festival—and this year, thanks to Carine Roitfeld, it's about to become even more chic.

The iconic editor, who's already got a lot on her plate what with her upcoming MAC collaboration and magazine launch, is organizing a fashion show to take place at the gala on May 24, which according to WWD will be "based around her idea of the perfect black wardrobe." That means that the looks themselves, which will be by Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Chanel and Givenchy, amongst many others, will contain zero color. And post-show, all of the ensembles will be auctioned off as a single lot for charity. Fashion folks do like black, after all.
