Chanel's Little Black Jacket Gets Its Own Exhibit

In the beginning of June, Prada's fancy retrospective at New York City's Met will have some competition in the "let's feel cultured while looking at amazing clothes" category.

That's when Chanel's opening its own downtown exhibit in honor of Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld's upcoming book, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited.

With just 113 photographs of celebrities in that iconic jacket, the pop-up is as focused as it is short-lived (only one week!).

But if you can't make to SoHo's 118 Wooster St between June 8 and 15, we've got great news. The book's available for pre-order, and buying something else Chanel is, somehow, a way of supporting the exhibit. Even if it's just a really pretty Chanel nail polish to gaze at while flipping the pages of the book come August.
