In Memory of Vidal Sassoon: His Greatest Contributions To Hair
British hairstylist Vidal Sasson passed away today. A genius with a scissor, he invented the bob and the "wash and wear," completely changing how women wore their hair in the ’60s. He was the first "superstar" hair stylist and the first to successfully become his own brand, with several salons and a line of shampoo and conditioners. So you all know who to thank—his geometric styles were based on the notion that women shouldn't have to sit in a salon for hours to look good.
Let's take a minute to remember his work.
