Neiman Marcus Gives Its Contemporary Section a Makeover
In 2006, Neiman Marcus opened Cusp, a freestanding store dedicated to contemporary lines (Rag & Bone and Alice & Olivia instead of Gucci and Prada). Today, the independent boutique solidifies its success by moving into the larger department stores, too.
From now on each contemporary section in Neiman Marcus's 42 stores will become a shop-in-shop mirroring Cusp's look and feel. Six years in, those are pretty well-established things: muted Rihanna on the radio, clothes for "going out," (wherever that may be), affordable blazers and work dresses from lines including A.L.C and Helmut Lang.
It's a different vibe than on the designer floor, of course, which means you'll get two fantastic shopping experiences in one store. Who doesn't like that—especially when it involves clothes like the ones below?
