Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013: Come Sail Away

We've said it many times before, but an Oscar de la Renta show rarely disappoints. The crowd of editors and buyers big and small stampedes to see the collection, if not to get to the elevators first. Once the initial dust settles and everybody is seated, the lights beam up and the soundtrack starts. From the get-go, you know you're in for something good—and then the models actually start walking.

We're not quite sure where the Oscar de la Renta resort girl is headed, but it's someplace nice and she's certainly dressed for the occasion. De la Renta's trademark techniques were all present: embroidery, perfect construction and of course, an undeniable elegance. As of late, we can depend on the brand to be on the cusp of all things digital. Resort 2013 was no exception, with a live Pinterest feed leading up to the show and an exclusive sequined raglan sweater available for puchase on Thefancy.com immediately following it. Aside from the covetable raglan, we were into the silver-dipped feather skirt, the oversized florals and the shimmering cocktail dresses.
