In Honor of Maurice Sendak: Pieces Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are

Earlier today, beloved author and artist Maurice Sendak passed away at the age of 83. Best known for the 1963 children's masterpiece Where the Wild Things Are and 1970's In the Night Kitchen, the former of which earned him the prestigious Caldecott Medal and became a hit feature film in 2009, Sendak was widely celebrated for his darker, eerier take on children's literature.

Complex and beautiful, Sendak's stories have been a favorite of both kids and parents for decades, and the iconic author will be sorely missed. Click through for our shoppable tribute to Where the Wild Things Are, the writer and illustrator's magnum opus. Let the wild rumpus start!
