Shop It Out: Our Favorite '90s Teen Shows
The '90s were great for a lot of reasons—Clueless, Ring Pops, and Will Smith—but nothing beat the decade's unforgettable teen TV. Long before the days of Hannah Montana's wholly unconvincing blonde wig, we could turn on Nickelodeon, MTV, et. all and instantly get a dose of Kelly Kapowski's high-waisted jean shorts, or Angela Chase's grungy outfits. (Plaid babydoll dresses for all!) It's been two decades since they graced our screen with their overall-ed, Doc Marten-ed presence, which means it's once again time to try out your favorite character's look.
Girly floral shifts—much like those the ever-sophisticated Topanga Lawrence wore—are easy-to-find this season. Click through to shop her look.
Clarissa Darling knew that mixing prints and menswear accents was the easiest way to keep all eyes on her and off her annoying brother, Ferguson. Click through to shop her look.
DJ may have been the character with all the boyfriends, but her zany best friend Kimmy Gibbler clearly had the best style. Click through to shop her look.
Even before she dyed her hair Hawaiian Punch red, Angela Chase had the whole girly-grunge thing down. And her friend Rayanne Graff was full-on rock and roll in those ripped high-waisted jeans. Click through to shop Rayanne's look.
The Saved by the Bell cast provides a comprehensive snapshot of '90s style, with Kelly in floral jeans and a girly crop top, Jessie as a prepster, and Lisa at the very height of high school glam in animal prints, sequins and studs. Click through to shop their looks.
The only thing we didn't like about Alex Mack's grungy tomboy wardrobe was that, every once in a while, it would dissolve into a puddle of radioactive goo. Along with the rest of her, of course. Click through to shop her look.
