Exclusive Video: See How Penelope and Coco's New Bambi Flat Was Made
Penelope and Coco first launched in 2010, with a small range of locally sourced lace-up boots inspired by two specific sides of designer Marisa Spinella's personality: girly, vintage-loving "Penelope" and risk-taking thrill seeker "Coco." Since then, the L.A.-based footwear label has grown its collection to include oxfords, heels and wedges, all made with these dueling characteristics in mind.
To maintain a high level of quality, Spinella and her business partner, Arielle Vavasseur, are actively involved with all levels of production—this includes everything from the choosing of materials to working with California cobblers. In the exclusive video below you will see the pair conceive and create the company's new "Bambi" flats before a very happy customer recieves them. Watch, and then click here to pre-order the studded flats and shop other pre-fall styles for yourself.
