Jennifer Hudson Is Debuting a Line With QVC
Jennifer Hudson has come a long way since her American Idol days. The former reality show contestant has since parlayed her fame into a well-rounded career as a singer, actress, Weight Watchers spokesperson and now, fashion designer.
On September 10, during a one hour television event, the star will launch her first ever collection on QVC, a company that has collaborated with celebrities such as Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe and Heidi Klum in the past. The affordable 14 item line—nothing costs more than $170!—will include pointe leggings ($50), a sheer, partially-lined, maxi skirt ($75) and slimming knit dress with ruched sides ($74.50). All the pieces were inspired by the Hudson's personal style and created for women of all sizes.
"I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it," she told WWD in an interview. "But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it—no matter what size you are—and you could feel comfortable in it."
