Shop Kelly Wearstler's Tag Sales on One Kings Lane Today
Usually I shop One Kings Lane for home goods I'd buy anyway, even without the much-appreciated extra discount. Candles, picture frames, silk flowers: the sort of accents grown-up people display to fool their friends into thinking they have it all together.
But this week when I browse the site's Kelly Wearstler tag sales section—which launched today—I won't be looking for any of those common things. Instead, I'm shopping for curiosities I wouldn't even think of on my own because they're so characteristically Kelly, like a kitschy framed needlepointed owl or a bold pair of tribal masks.
Those are just a couple items in the seven different tag sales the interior decorator turned fashion designer selected from her archives to sell on One Kings Lane. While prices run the gamut from $15 for a polka dot butter plate to $8,999 for a marble table, all the pieces share the verve of Kelly's namesake home goods line: think Gothic-meets-'70s shaggy black fur chairs and perforated brass vases that are equal parts pretty and tough.
Shop her tag sales on One Kings Lane today through Thursday, June 21 and click through below for a few of our favorite picked-by-Kelly pieces. Befitting of Kelly, who told me she's been wearing periwinkle nail polish and listening to "Outside" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers lately, the pieces are perennially, effortlessly cool—not to mention way more punchy and impressive than even the best-smelling candle or prettiest enamel picture frame.
If I owned these plates, I'd probably actually learn to cook.
I bet Kelly would pair this rustic western stool with something lacquered and polished.
Why choose a basic white or black pillow when you can add a geometric pattern instead?
I was really proud of myself for buying retro red leather bar stools—until I saw these.
Cluster an odd amount of these in a patterned bowl as a centerpiece. It'd look kind of amazing and last way longer than flowers.
Toss a shaggy pillow on the back to give it a little of Kelly's eclectic vibe.
I want this in my entry way next to my gold umbrella holder. They'd look so good together.
