Louis Vuitton Fall 2012: Leopard Print Bags on an Old School Train
Marc Jacobs' eponymous brand debuted its Fall 2012 campaign last week, quickly followed by this ad for his line at Louis Vuitton. Although there are some definite similarities between the two—mainly those unmistakeable over-sized hats—the photographs for the French fashion house are more refined and cinematic.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the imagery is obviously inspired the steam engine featured at the house's February fashion show, with models Mackenzie Drazan, Marie Piovesan, Franzsika Müller, Julia Nobis, Ros Georgiou, Marina Heiden and Elena Bartels posing inside an old fashioned train car. The girls are wearing autumnal colored outfits (mustard! rust! plum!) and carrying leopard print handbags while they wait for their respective destinations.
What do you think of this picture versus those raccoon-eyed sick-chic gals in the desert for Jacobs' namesake range? Tell us which you prefer in the comments below.
