Louis Vuitton Video: Marc Jacobs Chats on an Opulent Train
Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter ad campaign dropped a few days ago and this morning an accompanying behind-the-scenes video surfaced. We spotted footage on Graziadaily.co.uk this morning, featuring the brand's creative director, Marc Jacobs, talking about his inspiration for the ads. Which, as we speculated in our previous post, mainly involves stylish women glamorously traveling by train.
The steam engine seen at the label's February fashion show, however, was not actually used in the pictures. According to WWD, a plush luxury car interior was created for the models to pose in while the original set is heading to China. There, it will appear in a recreation of the original Paris presentation. Starting on July 5, on the website Louisvuittonexpress.com, you can track its long journey to Shanghai.
Until then, watch the clip below. Besides the rare opportunity to watch the Jacobs chat about his work, it also shows each finished photo from the shoot and a more detailed look at the crystal embellished clothes. And, of course, those over-sized, feather topped hats are everywhere.
