Lucky Girl: Anna Laub
“This looks like a real London picture...but I was actually on my way to a show in New York that day, I think. That is my beloved hat (that I've now lost) that I bought from a really classic 'old man's' hat shop in Annecy, in France. I always go there on my way back from the airport from snowboarding in Chamonix. It's my favorite hat shop! That hat is made of rabbit hair, which is waterproof—so I always wear it instead of taking an umbrella! The skirt is Diana Orving and I love it because the cutout is very summery...but since it's black, you can wear it with tights in the winter too. The bag is vintage from Portobello Market and the shirt is from Lee. This is where my obsession with jean shirts started!"
"This is at my party that I had at ACME and hosted with the boys from The Last Magazine and Kanon Vodka. We closed New York Fashion Week and it was so much fun! I'm wearing my first Alaia piece I ever bought a few years ago. And am hoping I'll be able to wear it forever. The leopard-print boots were my second Alaia purchase, and are similarly something I intend to wear for years to come! The sunglasses are from my Classic Collection - London in cream tortoiseshell."
"This is my trusty Ostwald Helgason shirt—it's actually a bodysuit. It has a zip down the front and the sleeves are jersey. It's just the perfect white shirt—I love it. And I wore it with my Balenciaga skirt. I just love the cut of the hem of this skirt, and the material. And my little booties for daytime easy walking. This picture was taken on my way into the Preen show."
"I always keep pieces that I love in my wardrobe and pull them out seasons after I bought them. This dress is from Burberry, and it's really a summer dress that I got a couple of years ago. But I love the color and the draping, and I wear it now in winter with a cream long-sleeved top underneath. I paired it with my new Céline coat and my trusty Rachel Comey boots, which I literally did not take off this winter. I am also wearing a Pollini bag—I love an across-the-body bag for daytime. This was the first bag collection Nicholas Kirkwood did for Pollini. And of course my new Portofino sunglasses in midnight blue with mirror lenses."
"The coat is Phillip Lim, and so is the clutch. I am a real fan of his stuff. It is very minimal, beautifully made, but has that fashion edge. I paired this outfit with Portofino sunglasses in matte grey with dark lenses. I am very into tone-on-tone coloring: cream with white with grey. I think this taken as I was leaving either the Donna Karan or the Joseph Altuzarra show."
