Lucky Haul: When In Florida, Buy Bikinis

I recently spent a few days in Ft. Lauderdale as part of a media trip hosted by the Westin Beach Resort & Spa.
Knowing that I work for Lucky, the Westin team made special arrangements for me to check out the shops on Las Olas Boulevard, one of the best shopping areas in the city. I indulged my love of aggressively preppy attire at J. McLaughlin (because, well, why not?) and there were many breezy, tunic-y things by Tory Burch and See by Chloe in this really cool boutique called Blue that I think Jenna Gottlieb, who writes our city guides, would like.
To be honest, Tommy Bahama was not on my list until this two-piece swimsuit caught my eye in the window—it looked better on the mannequin than it does on me, but I adore the splashy print, gathered details and retro neckline. It all reminds me of the Palm Springs chick Don Draper beds in Season 2 of Mad Men, but that said, it still feels very modest/family-friendly, like something I can wear on the beach this summer in front of my mom (who thinks string bikinis are too St. Tropez for good old Block Island).
