Mulberry Opens Its Fifth U.S. Store

Last week, Mulberry opened a store in San Francisco.

Joining three stores in New York City and a New Jersey outpost, it's the brand's fifth brick and mortar shop in the US. Considering Mulberry's popularity, it's almost surprising they don't have more than five stores stateside and more than one on the west coast. This spring, those Tassel bags made more cameos at Coachella than feather hair clips; today, the waitlist for the Del Rey bag is longer than its namesake's career.

Still, it's a little understandable: as cool as the San Francisco shop looks (glossy dark wood floors, gilded display areas), a flashy, fun space isn't exactly necessary to appreciate Mulberry's signature pieces, like a preppy tan Bayswater bag or a shimmering, chain strap Lily satchel. But the tiger print sneakers? Even if you don't need to try them on to know they fit your feet, you might want to see them in person. (I know I do.)
