Lucky Stars: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in Alexander McQueen at the Diamond Jubilee

At yesterday's Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the Thames River, Kate Middleton (aka Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) reunited with revered designer Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen—the very same woman, of course, who made Kate's gorgeous wedding gown.
To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 60 years on the throne, the Duchess selected a beautiful and bold red dress from Alexander McQueen's Pre-Fall 2011 collection. Though Kate's version was customized with long sleeves for modesty's sake, of course. She paired the pleated look with her favorite L.K. Bennett nude pumps, a red bow-front clutch and hat topped with floral details.
And while Catherine's custom McQueen certainly cost a bundle, we've found a shoppable alternative that's far less pricey—plus accessories to go along with it. We even found a version of the yellow plaid scarf the royal threw on midway through the event—because hey, we aim to please.
