Best-Selling Celebrity Fragrances

When it comes to celebrity perfumes, I may know what people are talking about—Lady Gaga's naked ad campaign for her scent Fame, perhaps—but until I started writing this story, I had no idea what they were actually buying.

I imagined teenybopper fragrances like Katy Perry's Purr and Justin Bieber's Girlfriend at the top of the sales list, floating on a pillow of $5 bills earned through chores. But according to our data-savvy friends at Euromonitor, those crazy-famous celebrities aren't really the ones selling the most bottles.

Instead, the correlation between stars who sell bedroom posters and those who sell perfume is small, with some of the most successful scents coming from slightly obscure celebrities.
