Chloë Grace Moretz Is Aéropostale's First Ever Brand Ambassador
Aéropostale is trying a something new this fall by hiring Chloë Grace Moretz as its first ever brand ambassador. For her new gig, the young actress will star in ads, tweet about the label and share her favorite looks online.
This is not only uncharted territory for the teen clothing company but for Moretz, too. The burgeoning star is mainly known for her growing resume of movie roles and has never fronted a major campaign like this before. Aero execs, however, are not worried.
"We know she will connect with our customer," Scott Birnbaum, senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce, told WWD. "She’s extremely interested in fashion. She sits in the front row at all high-end fashion shows."
Although it might not have the fashion cred of, say, a Miu Miu advertisement (remember when last year's starred ANOTHER famous 15 year old?), these pictures are going to be seen by a lot more people—and probably broaden Chloë's fan base. Plus, people who haven't stepped foot in Aéropostale since the 8th grade—but really loved Kickass and Dark Shadows—might be compelled to re-visit.
You can get a sneak peek of Chloë wearing Aéro's autumn collection in this promotional video on the store's website, but her outfits won't hit be available until July 16. Until then, we've found five equally cute summer pieces you can buy right now that look good even if you've already graduated from high school.
