Video Exclusive: Designlovefest's Bri Emery Picks the Perfect Date Outfit(s)

In Bri Emery’s world, a dress is not just, you know, a dress. It's a blank canvas, ready for those personal embellishments that make an outfit super special. Why take the straight-and-narrow path when you can easily make everything prettier, quirkier and just that more interesting?

Bri is the founder of Designlovefest, “where type and images go to totally make out.” Her fun and fresh ideas on graphics, typography, style and decoration live on the pages of her blog and in Designlovefest Studio, which offers clients full-service graphic design and branding. She was also speaker at our FABBWest conference, which took place in LA earlier this year.

And, unsurprisingly, Bri's got great fashion sense. Which brings us to this video, which she put together exclusively for Luckymag.com. The subject? The right date outfits for the right occasion. Formal? Casual? Somewhere in-between? Bri's covered it all in a really creative way.

Watch the video to see her outfit ideas come to life. And click through the slideshow below to shop many of the exact looks.

Will You Wear A Scrunchie Again If The New York Times Tells You To?

The New York Times recently published an article titled, “The Scrunchie Grows Up” that made a case so strong for wearing scrunchies again, that the folks at Goody are legitimately concerned this might be the end of elastic bands forever. Only kidding–but the NYTimes DID call the scrunchie a ubiquitous “sign of power” which is not exactly how I remember them.
