Little Miss Stella vs. Miss Marc: Which Chic Cartoon Character Is Your Favorite?

Sketches play a huge role in every fashion designer's day-to-day routine—but sometimes, industry players take their love of doodles another step further—with very cute results.
A few years ago, Stella McCartney teamed with Adam Hargreaves—the son of Roger Hargreaves, who created the acclaimed Mr. Men and Little Miss children's picture book series—on her very own cartoon character, Little Miss Stella. Stella's cheery, hand-drawn alter ego appeared on the designer's Spring 2007 runway show invites, inspired her own storybook, and is now the muse for real Stella's new seven-piece childrenswear collection. The Little Miss Stella lineup, which will include sweaters, tees and more, will hit Stella's stores at the end of next month and online at Stellamccartney.com.
Speaking of designer-crafted cartoons, we're also big fans of Miss Marc, Marc Jacobs' adorably sullen mascot. First drawn up in 2009, the dark-haired face of Marc by Marc Jacobs has appeared on tons of the designer's accessories and special items, many of them very reasonably priced.
