Moskeeto Armor: Shop to Help Fight Malaria

Shopping can sometimes seem like a life or death matter, especially when it involves a crowded sample sale. (For instance, if I'm not able to walk away with a pair of silver 3.1 Phillip Lim shoes in a size 38, raised victoriously in the air like the plunder from a major battle, a part of me will die.)
Moskeeto Armor, on the other hand, actually has the power to save lives. This revolutionary mosquito repellent fabric is being fashioned into clothes and baby blankets and delivered to residents in malaria stricken nations. Creator Robin Crespo has so much faith in his product that he's decided not to take Malaria vaccines before his trip to Uganda this August. His only defense from the disease will be the Moskeeto Armor suits that he'll wear. Robin believes that. if we can prevent the bugs from biting, then we can prevent malaria’s death grip altogether.
Fascinated? So are we. On Monday, July 30, Robin and his team are hosting an event in Limelight Shops called Code: Purple. Guests can shop the boutiques, sip Africa-inspired drinks and support a movement that many believe will be malaria's cure. The $20 entrance fee will help cover the cost of next month's trip to Uganda, where the Moskeeto Armor team will be handing out product to as many people as possible, truly utilizing fashion to save lives.
