Music Issue Special: Hillary Scott
When the multi-platinum-selling country group Lady Antebellum started, lead singer Hillary Scott’s go-to ensemble was a sundress and cowboy boots. Since then, her look, like the group’s music, has matured. Tailored and sleek, she still hangs onto elements of her down-to-earth, Nashville style. “I can’t escape my country roots and I don’t want to. I remember Reba [McEntire] rocking these embellished blazers and pants, which I do now.”
Offstage, Scott opts for chic comfort, living in Chanel ballet flats, James Perse tees and JBrand jeans. “I love being comfy and put together but with a little bit of glitz. I’m not myself when I’m not.”

"My favorite accessory is my grandfather’s watch. He passed away in November and was like a second dad to me. It’s his and that’s what it makes it cool and special. It's a gold and black watch and it's my favorite. I wear it all the time but I don’t wear it on stage because I don’t want to sweat in it."
"I definitely think that my style’s gotten a lot more tailored. Earlier on, I was a dress and boots girl but it’s gotten a lot more tailored. I’ve always loved blazers and a tailored look. It’s become my stage look: a good fitted blazer with a sequined top and my high-waisted Joseph pants. It’s always super flattering from any angle. When there’s a big huge screen behind you and cameras, you want everything to be flattering."
"I absolutely love Beyonce—I love that she has shape and she looks like a woman and really rocks her curves. I admire that a lot, being a real woman with curves. I like pushing the envelope and being eclectic, too, so I like to see what Sienna Miller is wearing. She has a cool, quirky style that I really admire. And Emma Stone has been wearing some really amazing things lately."
"I have a pair of these Gucci sandals that I actually bought for a wedding. I wore them out–they’re really cool. They’re thong sandals with Swarovski crystals on the strap. You can dress them up with a fancy dress, but they’re great with jeans, too."
