Music Issue Special: Norah Jones

With Little Broken Hearts being praised by Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of the year, we can forgive Norah Jones for her mini hiatus from music. Complete with a breezy bounce in “Happy Pills,” and a hauntingly beautiful wistfulness in “She’s 22,” it might be her most captivating effort yet.

But despite her handful of Grammys and wild success, Jones stays stylishly grounded. “I’m not one to suffer for fashion,” she says. “My current stylist is the only one who won’t argue with me on this.”

What item of clothing do you wear to death?

"I have a few pairs of Frye Carson pull-on boots. They're tight enough to fit my skinny calves!"

What do you like to perform in?

"I like to perform in dresses because that way, I get to be comfortable. I stand up a lot to play guitar and there's something about tight jeans–you get hot and sweaty."

When you’re on the road, what items can you not live without?

"I like tights and boots–I think that’s a really cute look. I also love little dresses, which are kind of good in the summer. I have a pair of cable tights that are also cute. They’re like a sweater for your legs."
