Support Cancer Research with This Little Pin

Even though bladder cancer's one of the five most common cancers, it gets about 20 times less funding than the other four do. There's probably a tangle of reasons for that, but perhaps one of them is that it hasn't had its moment yet—its yellow rubber bracelet craze or its giant race where everyone wears pink.

Now, though, bladder cancer fundraising has the purple pin, thanks to the Pin Down Bladder Cancer initiative. Small and stylish, it works for both genders: Suits' Harvey Specter could sport one on his lapel, while Alexa Chung could toss hers into a cluster on her mohair cardigan. Either way, the pin's slightly dandy color palette gives an outfit a bit punchy, unexpected detail (in a kinda Paul Smith or Kenzo-ish way, perhaps?)

But despite its size, the pin's also pretty significant, with all proceeds from the $22.50 purchase going to Memorial Sloan-Kettering's bladder research fund. Buy yours here (or, if for some crazy reason the pin's not your thing, you can always just donate. That's fashionable too.)
