The Intern Diaries: DIY Resort to Real Life
If there’s one thing I’ve developed an obsession over since I became a Lucky intern, it’s Resort 2013. We always want what we can’t have, right?
Cue an iconic episode of The Cosby Show, in which Theo Huxtable longs for a beautiful (but expensive) dress shirt made by big fashion designer Gordon Gartrell. His sister Denise swears she can make an exact replica for cheap, and ends up creating a mis-matched masterpiece of homemade proportions. I feel your pain, Theo. I also feel your DIY determination, Denise.
I picked a few of this season's resort collections I’m particularly fond of (Marc Jacobs, Friends and Associates, Carven, House of Holland, Chris Benz), and decided to venture down the easiest road to DIY-land to make all of our resort dreams come true.
Just call me Denise Huxtable.
