Gant Opens Its First West Coast Store

Gant's new West Coast store feels very California casual, but not just because of its sunny Venice Beach location.

Instead, the store's low-fuss design is really quite high-concept, dedicated to creating a laidback, vintage-y aesthetic in all angles—literally.

With reclaimed wood on the ceiling, subway tiles on the walls and flooring from an old school gymnasium, every part of the design begs for to be decorated with flea markets finds and other things people who go "glamping" are into. And it is: the decor is 1950s furniture and local, artisanal crafts. It's the perfect setting for Gant's preppy, easy sportswear (chambray shirts, striped blazers, colored shorts).

Click through below to see for yourself, and shop a few of Gant's currently available pieces now. (And keep an eye out: Gant's opening two more U.S. stores, in D.C. and Boston, this fall.)

Love a dressing room with a full on door instead of a flimsy curtain.
