If This Bag Were a Person: Marc by Marc Jacobs Edition
If this bag were a person, it would be your introverted best friend. You know what I mean—trustworthy, dependable, a little safe. It stays in on Friday nights and thinks that Saturdays are best spent in the park, reading a book alone with its cocker spaniel. This bag’s attempt at “daring,” fashion-wise, is an espadrille. The straw sole is far edgier than leather because it stains easily in wet weather. (A dangerous proposition for someone who loves to follow rules.)
If this bag were a person, its boldest beauty look would be a liquid liner. (Black, obv.) Bright lips are for tramps. This bag drinks its coffee with a straw so as not to stain its teeth and always returns your phone calls. It has an obsession with cilantro and never forgets to set the alarm. Something else about this bag? It has been on your arm at casual parties and coffee runs and first dates for years. It looks good with almost everything, which can really be annoying sometimes—why can’t it be just be NOT CUTE on occasion, you know? And because of all that—its attractiveness and versatility—you know it will never be inappropriate for a particular occasion. And despite its overall blends-into-the-atmosphereness, that’s why you love it so much.
