Natalia Vodianova Models (Again!) For Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney's fall campaign stars the same girl its been using since 2010, Natalia Vodianova. But the vibe is noticably different. Instead of last season's romantic and artsy florals, the label's autumn advertisements have a light-hearted sense of humor.
Shot in London by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the pictures feature Natalia making silly faces while wearing tweedy outfits with sporty stretch panels. Against an abstract background of woodgrain, she playfully pouts, kicks her leg up, rolls her eyes and yet...still manages to look stunning. This affable, I-don't-take-myself-too-seriously side of Vodianova is one we haven't seen before, which makes us wonder what other moves she's been hiding. Hopefully, if Stella casts her again for Spring 2013, we'll get a chance to find out.
It seems that a lot of designers have been sticking with their favorite faces this year: Karl Lagerfeld tapped Joan Smalls for Fendi after she posed for Chanel last spring, and Chloe Sevingy returned to Miuccia Prada's namesake line, Miu Miu, for the first time since 1996. Also, Kate Hudson is reprising her role at Ann Taylor, and Dior continues to use Mila Kunis for its Miss Dior line.
Do you like it when brands stick with the same models and actresses? Or do you prefer them to shake things up?
