Proenza Schouler's Got a Brand-New Bag—You Just Can't See It Until November

Between the now-classic PS1, sexy and studded PS11 and simple buckled Book Bag, Proenza Schouler seems to come up with the most fantastic purses on the planet. And now, lovers of Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez's CFDA Award-winning designs are about to have another major carryall to covet.

At a John Hopkins University fashion industry panel on Tuesday night, Proenza CEO Shirley Cook announced that the brand will be launching a new bag this November. But as Fashionista reported, the forthcoming design is being kept under the tightest of wraps until then—even major magazines aren't being permitted to sneak a peek. According to Cook, withholding samples and even photos of the bag is a necessary precaution against knockoffs—after all, fast fashion companies can turn around copies of designer pieces in mere days. "That's really our only defense," she said. "We don't really release pictures."

While you anxiously await a glimpse of Proenza Schouler's new project—will it be called the PS12?—take a look at some currently-shoppable bags the design duo's already released. We say they're totally worth the splurge.
