Alber Elbaz Makes Bubblegum Macarons for Ladurée

French macaron company Ladurée is no stranger to high fashion. The sweets purveyor, who has partnered with Tsumori Chisato and Christian Louboutin in the past, is giving us new dessert collaboration to look forward to: a gift set from Alber Elbaz.

Set to debut in France on September 25, coordinating with the beginning of Paris Fashion Week, the limited edition treats will be bubblegum flavored and sold in groups of eight. Everything will be wrapped in a collectable box covered with adorable hand-drawn sketches by the Lanvin designer, tied shut by a red grosgrain ribbon.

Three days after the goodies initially debut, they will arrive at stores in Japan, the United Kingdom and (thank goodness!) the United States. However, if the frenzy that surrounded Lanvin's team-up with H&M a few years ago is any indication, you shouldn't dilly-dally if you want to try them. Arrive at or call Ladurée's Madison Avenue store well ahead of time—you don't need an astrologist to know that tasty cookies in designer packaging will sell out fast.
