Hailee Steinfeld's Best Front-Row Looks From NYFW Spring 2013
If each New York Fashion Week has one breakout star, this season's was certainly 15-year-old Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld. Hailee showed up to a handful of choice shows and presentations this past week, each time dressed in a spectacular, age-appropriate look.
We had a chance to catch up with the True Grit starlet and Miu Miu muse—who'll next appear in 2013's remake of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as the doomed female lead—at Chris Benz's presentation on Monday afternoon. Read on for Hailee's thoughts on fashion and film, then click through the gallery to shop her best looks from this past week.
On Fashion Week as a whole: "Oh my—I've been having such a miserable time. Hahaha, not really! Everything about it is so amazing."
On Benz's collection: "The colors are right up my alley."
On her favorite red carpet look she's ever worn: "Each one's been so special in its own way...but I will say that my Oscars dress [by Marchesa] was my big princess moment."
On acting onscreen versus acting in a fashion campaign: "With movies, you've got other actors around you, a director, and all these references right at your fingertips that you can take advantage of. When you're working on a Miu Miu campaign, for instance, it's more subtle. So many incredible people are involved, but in a different sense. I shot it with Bruce Weber, who was just so amazing in terms of helping me out. It wasn't just like a normal photoshoot, where they put a fan on you! There's a lot that happens behind each of those photographs."
On whether NYFW has tired her out: "Not yet!"
