How to Wear Your Summer Favorites Through Fall

Temperatures are slowly dropping in New York, and people seem pretty excited about it. I've seen a lot of knee high boots, tweedy trousers and even a couple of puffer coats. (Although that last one—really? It's still 65 degrees out.)

I'm happy about the sudden cold snap. Mostly because it means our office has seized fire on the sub zero air conditioning blasts. (Now, I don't have huddle under a pashmina that doesn't match my outfit while I work.) And, at home, I fall asleep more easily at night.

As for my wardrobe? I'm a little reluctant to relinquish my warm weather favorites just yet.

Luckily, much like the antiquated "no white after Labor Day" rule, condemning clothes to certain seasons is a thing of the past. I'm making my summer pieces work overtime and you totally can, too. Click through the slideshow to find out how.
