How to Wear As Many Prints As Possible Without Looking Like a Crazy Person

It takes real talent to layer multiple prints in a way that doesn't look insane. But Marc Jacobs made it appear easy at his Marc x Marc Spring 2013 show, where he mixed multiple prints—like, five or more—in several outfits. We certainly learned a thing or two from his efforts. There are more than five prints layered into this outfit, yet it looks totally composed. That's because everything is in shades of pink, blue and orange. Keeping the color scheme fairly simple lets you go a little nuts with pattern.

This outfit works because of the cream coat. Even though it's got a brocade pattern, the calming color keeps all that hot pink, peach and orange grounded.
