Reel Style: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Learn how to get Emma Watson’s adorably quirky look from her latest film.

When we think of Emma Watson, it’s hard to envision her without a crimson and gold tie, frizzy hair and precocious personality. But hold your hippogriffs everyone. One of our favorite young actresses is returning to high school, but this time, with more sophistication and subtlety.

In The Perks of Being a Wallflower (based on the best-selling Stephen Chbosky novel), Emma plays Sam, the “coolest” of the outcasts, whose adult savvy is rooted in a mysterious past. The main character Charlie, played by Logan Lerman, is entranced by Sam's complicated girl appeal, but it's her bold style that really sucked us in at Lucky (And with cherry red crop tops and embellished gem-covered bustiers, Sam’s bold taste is anything but wallflower-esque). After glimpsing her 1990s motorcycle and varsity jackets, and retro plaid skirt, you’ll be inspired to revamp your fall look. Read on to shop our favorite Sam looks direct from the movie trailer—and go see The Perks of Being A Wallflower when it opens on Friday.
