Shop the Trend: Railroad Stripes

Remember railroad stripes, those closely-placed, utilitarian lines that covered the Oshkosh B'gosh overalls and Gymboree jumpers you wore as a little kid? Well, they're back with a vengeance for Spring 2013.

At Rag & Bone, where we noticed the first signs of an emerging trendlet, the densely-placed stripes covered flouncy little sundresses and layered blazers. Then, at Altuzarra, we spotted them on neatly-pressed oxford shirts and V-neck dresses. At Suno, they popped up on exposed shirttails and city shorts. And Tommy Hilfiger used them to preppy effect on his pajama-style suits and separates.
